The same handful of setups run in every city in Europe, in the same order, with the same lines. They are not clever. They work because they are cheap to repeat and because they only have to succeed once.
Each one below is what it looks like and what stops it. The last section is the single habit that would have prevented most of them.
The deposit. A profile that is warm, fast and flawless asks for a small sum to confirm: fifty euros, a taxi, a hotel deposit, whatever sounds reasonable in the moment. Do not send it. Not the first time, not a smaller amount, not to a name that almost matches. There is no version of this that ends with you meeting anybody. The request is the entire business, and the number goes silent the moment the transfer clears.
The wrong woman. The gallery is a model from another country, the person at the door is not her, and by the time you notice you are already inside. It is the most common complaint in every city in Europe, and it is the exact failure a face and body video review exists to catch, which is why it is done here before a profile is ever published. An unverified listing is a photograph of nobody in particular.
The lobby hand-off. You are told to wait in a hotel lobby you were not booked into, and a "driver" or "manager" appears to take the money and lead you upstairs. There is no room. If anyone but the woman herself is involved in the money, walk out.
The clip joint. A friendly girl on the street suggests a bar nearby. Two drinks arrive, then a bill of several hundred, then two large men at the door of a place with no prices on the menu. Never let a stranger choose the venue, and never enter a bar where the drinks are not priced.
The interruption. Twenty minutes in, an angry "boyfriend", "husband" or "brother" arrives at the door and a payment makes the problem go away. It is theatre, it is rehearsed, and it is why you meet in places with a reception desk and cameras.
The drink. A drink you did not watch being poured, in a private flat, from a stranger. Men are robbed this way far more often than they are attacked. Order your own, open your own, and if you leave the glass, leave the glass.
The moving price. What was agreed by message becomes something else in the room, with a new number attached. This is not a negotiation, it is a method. Agree once, in writing, before you travel - and treat any change as the end of the evening.
The card. Someone offers to "hold" your card, take it to another room to charge it, or asks for a photograph of it. A card out of your sight is a card being cloned. Cash for the evening, card in your pocket.
The fake raid. Men in plain clothes announce a police check and demand an immediate "fine" in cash. Real officers identify themselves, do not collect money on the spot, and are happy to be asked for identification.
The street pick-up. Approached on the street, walked to a flat you have never seen, at an address you could not describe. This is the setup behind most robberies in this trade. Everything else on this page is easier than getting out of that room.
The habit that prevents most of this
Agree the address, the hour and the price in writing before anybody travels, pay in person, and treat any change to those three as the end of the evening rather than a negotiation. Almost every setup above needs at least one of them to be vague.
What a review can and cannot do
Every profile on this network is checked by a face and body video review, watched by a person, before it is published. That removes the setups built on a profile that is nobody: the stolen gallery and the deposit taken by an account that was never going to meet you. It does not follow you into a bar or a lobby, which is why the rest of this page exists.
